Do not get yourself in a bind about the lack of ethics or morals within the ranks of the ruling Liberals. It was revealed during the election that they have no ethics. Some good newspapers have been writing about this for years. We have no other option but to accept that the Liberals have no ethics. But the Liberals do not need ethics when they cater to every minority and special-interest group in Canada. They don't need ethics when Canadians continue to reelect them to Ottawa. This painful decent into hell, away from democracy, will be tough as we are forced to dance with the devil and watch our so-called floating dollar descend with us. Canadians may have to pay the consequences of this recent election for a long time and in a hundred ways.

· The Liberals will no doubt give more million-dollar HRDC grants to shady personalities in Shawinigan. It is not the criminals in Shawinigan we should be worried about; it is the Liberals who funnel millions of taxpayers dollars in their direction.

· The prime minister will continue to phone the president of the Business Development Bank of Canada, a Crown corporation in order to ensure that million-dollar loans to other shady people in Shawinigan are forthcoming.

· Howard Wilson the so-called Ethics Counsellor, appointed by Chretien himself and therefore dependent on Chretien for his job, will give the okay. Wilsons mandate, written by Chretien, says he reports to Chretien himself. Therefore everything is okay. Lots of Liberal ethics here.

· The national debt of $600 billion that the Liberals promised to pay off in 300 years -- forget it. It doesn't exist. The Liberals have too many new programs and made too many promises to too many special-interest groups to be bothered. And if you ever had the idea that maybe Canadians as a whole were more important than special-interest groups, then you are due to be educated properly by the Liberals.

· The 65-cent dollar. Forget about that too. It is only 65 cents if you compare it to the US dollar. It is a 100% Canadian dollar. Don't compare. Be proud.


· Parliament has sat for 92 days last year. And it takes a long time to recover from a general election. Those opposition people were asking too many questions about HRDC grants and then there was that bothersome Auditor Generals Report.

Lets hope that the RCMP investigations into these $billion HRDC grants are carried through to the end and that the ethics of the crown prosecutors are better than those of the Ethics Counsellor Howard Wilson. Time and elections and the Liberals have a way of influencing ethics. Whatever happened to the Somalia Inquiry and the APEC iquiry?

Lets hope Thomas Jefferson had it right for Canadas sake. In Shawinigan the ends always justify the means.

THE LIBERAL SYSTEM

The Liberal Party system of catering to every minority group and special interest group is not democratic.

It is a gross manipulation of the so-called democratic system based on patronage by the Liberals who only have 40% of the popular vote. They concentrate their patronage and dole out their special privileges to their friends: lesbians, gays, feminists, special-interest groups, lobby groups, identifiable minorities, Indians, Quebecois, Liberals, civil servants, friend of the prime minister, trade unionists, those who live in Shawinigan, those who have no ethics, socialists, bilinguals, prisoners, ex-prisoners or justices of the Supreme Court -- unquestioned appointees. It appears that they are all members of a vast left-wing conspiracy.

This system caters to some Canadians while giving the cold shoulder to other Canadians. And if you are just an ordinary Canadian and not a member of one of these groups, you might be called any number of names for merely identifying them: scary, redneck, biased, bigoted, racist, homophobic, nazi or a member of a vast right wing conspiracy.

One of the oddities of this conspiracy which was brought out during the election was that if you are a Quebecois friend of the prime minister, you can get an almost limitless supply of taxpayers money from the government through loans or HRDC grants. And if they bother you about non payment of the mortgage, that will suddenly stop when the person who was bothering you gets fired.

The real scary part in all this is that the Liberals got reelected and all these shenanigans in Shawinigan are ongoing as you read this.
